बरनउँ रघुबर बिमल जसु, जो दायकु फल चारि॥
Shri Guru Charan Saroj Raj, Nij Manu Mukuru Sudhari |
Baranaun Raghubar Bimal Jasu, Jo Dayaku Phal Chari ||
Cleansing the mirror of my mind with the dust of my Guru's lotus feet, I recite the pure glory of Sri Rama, giver of the four fruits of life.

बुद्धिहीन तनु जानिके, सुमिरौं पवन-कुमार।
बल बुधि विद्या देहु मोहिं, हरहु कलेश विकार॥
Buddhihīn Tanu Jānike, Sumirauṅ Pavan-Kumār |
Bal Budhi Vidyā Dehu Mohin, Harahu Kalesh Vikār ||
Knowing myself feeble-minded, I remember the Son of the Wind. Grant me strength, wisdom, and knowledge, and remove my afflictions and faults.

Jai Hanumān Gyān Gun Sāgar, Jai Kapīs Tihun Lok Ujāgar
Victory to Hanuman, ocean of wisdom and virtue; victory to the King of monkeys, who illumines the three worlds.

राम दूत अतुलित बल धामा। अंजनि पुत्र पवनसुत नामा॥
Rām Dūt Atulit Bal Dhāmā, Anjani Putra Pavansut Nāmā
You are Rama's messenger, abode of matchless strength; son of Anjani, known as the Son of the Wind.

महाबीर बिक्रम बजरंगी। कुमति निवार सुमति के संगी॥
Mahābīr Bikram Bajrangī, Kumati Nivār Sumati Ke Sangī
Great hero, mighty and swift as thunder, you dispel evil thoughts and keep good company.

कंचन बरन बिराज सुबेसा। कानन कुंडल कुंचित केसा॥
Kanchan Baran Birāj Subesā, Kānan Kunḍal Kunchit Kesā
Golden-hued and gloriously adorned, with earrings and curly hair.
Chaupai 5
हाथ बज्र औ ध्वजा बिराजै। कांधे मूंज जनेऊ साजै॥
Hāth Bajra Au Dhwajā Birājai, Kāndhe Mūnj Janeū Sājai
In your hands shine the mace and banner; a sacred thread adorns your shoulder.
Chaupai 6
शंकर सुवन केसरीनंदन। तेज प्रताप महा जग बंदन॥
Shankar Suvan Kesarīnandan, Tej Pratāp Mahā Jag Bandan
Shiva's son, Kesari's joy, your glory and greatness are worshipped by the whole world.
Chaupai 7
विद्यावान गुनी अति चातुर। राम काज करिबे को आतुर॥
Vidyāvān Gunī Ati Chātur, Rām Kāj Karibe Ko Ātur
Learned, virtuous, and supremely wise, you are ever eager to serve Rama's cause.
Chaupai 8
प्रभु चरित्र सुनिबे को रसिया। राम लखन सीता मन बसिया॥
Prabhu Charitra Sunibe Ko Rasiyā, Rām Lakhan Sītā Man Basiyā
You delight in hearing of the Lord's deeds; Rama, Lakshman, and Sita dwell in your heart.

सूक्ष्म रूप धरि सियहिं दिखावा। बिकट रूप धरि लंक जरावा॥
Sūkshma Rūp Dhari Siyahin Dikhāvā, Bikaṭ Rūp Dhari Lank Jarāvā
Taking a tiny form, you appeared before Sita; taking a fearsome form, you burned Lanka.

भीम रूप धरि असुर संहारे। रामचंद्र के काज संवारे॥
Bhīm Rūp Dhari Asur Sanhāre, Rāmchandra Ke Kāj Sanvāre
Taking a mighty form, you destroyed the demons, accomplishing Lord Rama's work.
Chaupai 11
लाय सजीवन लखन जियाये। श्रीरघुबीर हरषि उर लाये॥
Lāy Sajīvan Lakhan Jiyāye, Shrī Raghubīr Harashi Ur Lāye
Bringing the healing herb, you revived Lakshman; Rama embraced you with joy.
Chaupai 12
रघुपति कीन्ही बहुत बड़ाई। तुम मम प्रिय भरतहि सम भाई॥
Raghupati Kīnhī Bahut Baṛāī, Tum Mam Priya Bharatahi Sam Bhāī
Raghupati praised you greatly: 'You are as dear to me as my brother Bharat.'

सहस बदन तुम्हरो जस गावैं। अस कहि श्रीपति कंठ लगावैं॥
Sahas Badan Tumharo Jas Gāvain, As Kahi Shrīpati Kanṭh Lagāvain
'Let a thousand mouths sing your glory,' said the Lord of Lakshmi, embracing you.

सनकादिक ब्रह्मादि मुनीसा। नारद सारद सहित अहीसा॥
Sanakādik Brahmādi Munīsā, Nārad Sārad Sahit Ahīsā
Sanaka and the great sages, Brahma and other seers, Narada, Saraswati, and the King of Serpents —

जम कुबेर दिगपाल जहां ते। कबि कोबिद कहि सके कहां ते॥
Jam Kuber Digpāl Jahān Te, Kabi Kobid Kahi Sake Kahān Te
even they, and Yama, Kubera, and the guardians of the directions, and the wisest poets, cannot fully describe your glory.

तुम उपकार सुग्रीवहिं कीन्हा। राम मिलाय राज पद दीन्हा॥
Tum Upkār Sugrīvahin Kīnhā, Rām Milāy Rāj Pad Dīnhā
You did great service to Sugriva, uniting him with Rama and restoring his kingdom.
Chaupai 17
तुम्हरो मंत्र बिभीषन माना। लंकेश्वर भए सब जग जाना॥
Tumharo Mantra Bibhīshan Mānā, Lankeshvar Bhae Sab Jag Jānā
Vibhishana heeded your counsel, and thus became known throughout the world as King of Lanka.

जुग सहस्र जोजन पर भानू। लील्यो ताहि मधुर फल जानू॥
Jug Sahasra Jojan Par Bhānū, Līlyo Tāhi Madhur Phal Jānū
Though the sun is a hundred thousand yojanas away, you swallowed it thinking it a sweet fruit.
Chaupai 19
प्रभु मुद्रिका मेलि मुख माहीं। जलधि लांघि गये अचरज नाहीं॥
Prabhu Mudrikā Meli Mukh Māhīn, Jaladhi Lāṅghi Gaye Acharaj Nāhīn
Holding the Lord's ring in your mouth, you crossed the ocean — no wonder at all.
Chaupai 20
दुर्गम काज जगत के जेते। सुगम अनुग्रह तुम्हरे तेते॥
Durgam Kāj Jagat Ke Jete, Sugam Anugrah Tumhare Tete
Whatever difficult task exists in this world becomes easy through your grace.
Chaupai 21
राम दुआरे तुम रखवारे। होत न आज्ञा बिनु पैसारे॥
Rām Duāre Tum Rakhavāre, Hot Na Āgyā Binu Paisāre
You stand as guardian at Rama's door; none may enter without your leave.
Chaupai 22
सब सुख लहै तुम्हारी सरना। तुम रच्छक काहू को डर ना॥
Sab Sukh Lahai Tumhārī Sarnā, Tum Rachchhak Kāhū Ko Ḍar Nā
All who take your refuge find happiness; under your protection, there is nothing to fear.
Chaupai 23
आपन तेज सम्हारो आपै। तीनों लोक हांक तें कांपै॥
Āpan Tej Samhāro Āpai, Tīnon Lok Hānk Ten Kāmpai
You alone can withstand your own splendor; the three worlds tremble at your roar.
Chaupai 24
भूत पिशाच निकट नहिं आवै। महाबीर जब नाम सुनावै॥
Bhūt Pishāch Nikaṭ Nahin Āvai, Mahābīr Jab Nām Sunāvai
Ghosts and evil spirits dare not approach where your mighty name is spoken.
Chaupai 25
नासै रोग हरै सब पीरा। जपत निरंतर हनुमत बीरा॥
Nāsai Rog Harai Sab Pīrā, Japat Nirantar Hanumat Bīrā
All disease and pain vanish for one who chants your name, brave Hanuman, without ceasing.
Chaupai 26
संकट तें हनुमान छुड़ावै। मन क्रम बचन ध्यान जो लावै॥
Sankaṭ Ten Hanumān Chhuṛāvai, Man Kram Bachan Dhyān Jo Lāvai
Hanuman frees from every trouble one who remembers you in thought, word, and deed.
Chaupai 27
सब पर राम तपस्वी राजा। तिन के काज सकल तुम साजा॥
Sab Par Rām Tapasvī Rājā, Tin Ke Kāj Sakal Tum Sājā
Rama, the ascetic king, reigns above all, yet you carry out all his works.
Chaupai 28
और मनोरथ जो कोई लावै। सोइ अमित जीवन फल पावै॥
Aur Manorath Jo Koī Lāvai, Soi Amit Jīvan Phal Pāvai
Whoever brings you any wish receives boundless fruit in this very life.
Chaupai 29
चारों जुग परताप तुम्हारा। है परसिद्ध जगत उजियारा॥
Chāron Jug Partāp Tumhārā, Hai Parasiddh Jagat Ujiyārā
Your glory shines through all four ages, renowned and radiant throughout the world.
Chaupai 30
साधु संत के तुम रखवारे। असुर निकंदन राम दुलारे॥
Sādhu Sant Ke Tum Rakhavāre, Asur Nikandan Rām Dulāre
You are guardian of saints and sages, beloved of Rama, destroyer of demons.
Chaupai 31
अष्ट सिद्धि नौ निधि के दाता। अस बर दीन जानकी माता॥
Ashṭa Siddhi Nau Nidhi Ke Dātā, As Bar Dīn Jānakī Mātā
You grant the eight powers and nine treasures, a boon given to you by Mother Sita.
Chaupai 32
राम रसायन तुम्हरे पासा। सदा रहो रघुपति के दासा॥
Rām Rasāyan Tumhare Pāsā, Sadā Raho Raghupati Ke Dāsā
The elixir of devotion to Rama is ever within your reach; may you remain forever Raghupati's servant.
Chaupai 33
तुम्हरे भजन राम को पावै। जनम जनम के दुख बिसरावै॥
Tumhare Bhajan Rām Ko Pāvai, Janam Janam Ke Dukh Bisrāvai
Through devotion to you, one attains Rama, and sorrows of countless lifetimes are erased.
Chaupai 34
अंत काल रघुबर पुर जाई। जहां जन्म हरिभक्त कहाई॥
Ant Kāl Raghubar Pur Jāī, Jahān Janma Haribhakt Kahāī
At the final hour, one goes to Rama's abode, born thereafter as a devotee of Hari.
Chaupai 35
और देवता चित्त न धरई। हनुमत सेइ सर्ब सुख करई॥
Aur Devatā Chitt Na Dharaī, Hanumat Sei Sarb Sukh Karaī
Give no thought to any other deity; serving Hanuman alone brings every happiness.
Chaupai 36
संकट कटै मिटै सब पीरा। जो सुमिरै हनुमत बलबीरा॥
Sankaṭ Kaṭai Miṭai Sab Pīrā, Jo Sumirai Hanumat Balbīrā
All trouble ends and every pain is erased for one who remembers mighty Hanuman.
Chaupai 37
जय जय जय हनुमान गोसाईं। कृपा करहु गुरुदेव की नाईं॥
Jai Jai Jai Hanumān Gosāīn, Kripā Karahu Gurudev Kī Nāīn
Victory, victory, victory to Hanuman, Lord! Grant your grace as a true Guru would.
Chaupai 38
जो सत बार पाठ कर कोई। छूटहि बंदि महा सुख होई॥
Jo Sat Bār Pāṭh Kar Koī, Chhūṭahi Bandi Mahā Sukh Hoī
Whoever recites this a hundred times is freed from bondage and attains great joy.
Chaupai 39
जो यह पढ़े हनुमान चालीसा। होय सिद्धि साखी गौरीसा॥
Jo Yah Paṛhe Hanumān Chālīsā, Hoy Siddhi Sākhī Gaurīsā
Whoever reads this Hanuman Chalisa attains success — Shiva himself is witness.

तुलसीदास सदा हरि चेरा। कीजै नाथ हृदय मंह डेरा॥
Tulsīdās Sadā Hari Cherā, Kījai Nāth Hriday Manh Ḍerā
Tulsidas, ever a servant of Hari, prays: 'Lord, make your home within my heart.'

पवनतनय संकट हरन, मंगल मूरति रूप।
राम लखन सीता सहित, हृदय बसहु सुर भूप॥

Rām Lakhan Sītā Sahit, Hriday Basahu Sur Bhūp ||
O son of the wind, remover of troubles, embodiment of auspiciousness — dwell in my heart, O king of gods, together with Rama, Lakshman, and Sita.

Verse 1
ॐ जय जगदीश हरे, स्वामी जय जगदीश हरे।
भक्त जनों के संकट, क्षण में दूर करे॥
Om Jai Jagdīsh Hare, Swāmī Jai Jagdīsh Hare |
Bhakt Janon Ke Sankaṭ, Kshaṇ Mein Dūr Kare ||
Victory to the Lord of the Universe, who instantly removes the troubles of his devotees.
Verse 2
जो ध्यावे फल पावे, दुःख बिनसे मन का।
सुख सम्पत्ति घर आवे, कष्ट मिटे तन का॥
Jo Dhyāve Phal Pāve, Dukh Binase Man Kā |
Sukh Sampatti Ghar Āve, Kashṭ Miṭe Tan Kā ||
Whoever meditates on you finds fulfillment; sorrow of the mind dissolves, and happiness and prosperity fill the home.
Verse 3
मात पिता तुम मेरे, शरण गहूं मैं किसकी।
तुम बिन और न दूजा, आस करूं जिसकी॥
Māt Pitā Tum Mere, Sharaṇ Gahūn Main Kiskī |
Tum Bin Aur Na Dūjā, Ās Karūn Jiskī ||
You are my mother and father — whose shelter shall I seek but yours? I have no other hope.
Verse 4
तुम पूरन परमात्मा, तुम अंतर्यामी।
पारब्रह्म परमेश्वर, तुम सबके स्वामी॥
Tum Pūran Paramātmā, Tum Antaryāmī |
Pārabrahma Parameshvar, Tum Sabke Swāmī ||
You are the complete Supreme Soul, dwelling within all; the Supreme Being, Lord of everyone.
Verse 5
तुम करुणा के सागर, तुम पालनकर्ता।
मैं मूरख खल कामी, कृपा करो भर्ता॥
Tum Karuṇā Ke Sāgar, Tum Pālankartā |
Main Mūrakh Khal Kāmī, Kripā Karo Bhartā ||
You are an ocean of compassion and my sustainer; though I am foolish and full of desire, be gracious, my Lord.
Verse 6
तुम हो एक अगोचर, सबके प्राणपति।
किस विधि मिलूं दयामय, तुमको मैं कुमति॥
Tum Ho Ek Agochar, Sabke Prāṇapati |
Kis Vidhi Milūn Dayāmay, Tumko Main Kumati ||
You alone are beyond perception, life-giver to all; how, in my ignorance, shall I merge with you, O merciful one?
Verse 7
दीनबन्धु दुखहर्ता, तुम रक्षक मेरे।
अपने हाथ उठाओ, द्वार पड़ा तेरे॥
Dīnbandhu Dukhahartā, Tum Rakshak Mere |
Apne Hāth Uṭhāo, Dwār Paṛā Tere ||
Friend of the humble, remover of sorrow, my protector — raise your hand in blessing, for I stand at your door.
Verse 8
विषय विकार मिटाओ, पाप हरो देवा।
श्रद्धा भक्ति बढ़ाओ, सन्तन की सेवा॥
Vishay Vikār Miṭāo, Pāp Haro Devā |
Shraddhā Bhakti Baṛhāo, Santan Kī Sevā ||
Remove my worldly vices and sins; increase my faith and devotion in service to the saints.
Verse 9
श्री जगदीश हरे की आरति, जो कोई नर गावे।
कहत शिवानंद स्वामी, मनवांछित फल पावे॥
Shrī Jagdīsh Hare Kī Ārati, Jo Koī Nar Gāve |
Kahat Shivānand Swāmī, Manvānchhit Phal Pāve ||
